Kim holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill University in Montreal and worked in the environmental field for 10 years before completing her second degree in Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto, Ontario. Naturopathy is not regulated in Quebec and so it’s not possible for an ND to be licensed in this province. Kim is licensed in Ontario with the College of Naturopaths. A practitioner of functional medicine, Kim will inquire about lifestyle factors such as stress, sleep hygiene, nutrition and food sensitivities, movement and environmental exposures. The first visit is 90 minutes which allows us the time to take a thorough history of health concerns and explore possible causes of symptoms and obstacles to healing. Shorter monthly follow-up visits are usually required for a time to assess results and ensure your health goals are met in a timely fashion. Natural therapies that may be suggested include:
- Herbal medicine
- Food as medicine
- Nutraceuticals (dietary supplements and other natural substances)
- Homeoapathic medicine
- MBSR techniques – mind-body stress reduction Kim’s intention is to inform, inspire, encourage and empower her patients to manage their own health and wellness.
